GM Genuine Parts 13564167 Brake Pedal Position Sensor — for Select GM Vehicles

Reduced engine power under acceleration, unwanted grade braking, erratic transmission shifting, cruise control issues, or a check engine light with codes P057B, P057C, or P057E — these are common signs that your brake pedal position sensor is failing . This sensor monitors the movement and position of the brake pedal, sending signals to the ECM and BCM to directly activate the brakes, illuminate the brake lights, and disengage cruise control when the pedal is applied . A faulty sensor can cause the ECM to read that the brake pedal is applied when it is not, leading to a range of drivability and transmission symptoms .

This is a factory-original GM brake pedal position sensor (OE part number 13564167). It replaces the older part numbers 13597422 and 13583369 . This is the same part sold at GM dealerships.

When to Replace

• Reduced engine power under acceleration • Unwanted grade braking • Erratic transmission shifting (upshifts/downshifts) • Cruise control does not disengage when brake is applied • Brake lights do not illuminate properly
• Check engine light with P057B, P057C, or P057E codes • Brake pedal position reads greater than 0% when pedal is released
